It's All in the Alignments: OSPI - WASL - Powerful Teaching

Great teaching becomes exceptional teaching with just the slightest adjustments. We've gathered lists of alignments that help you shift your perspective and match your lesson plans to Washington State Standards. Our school support staff has done lots of the legwork for you by aligning DLC tools, resources, and courses with those standards to help you make the most of your membership.

• OSPI Alignments have all been updated, and now include, among many others, Educational Technology Standards for Teachers and Students.
• WASL Alignments abound within our resources and tools. Check out our Mathcasts and online WASL prep courses.
• Powerful Teaching and the DLC align to improve student achievement through observable teacher behaviors and the use of technology in the classroom. A few include creating a student-centered learning environment, standards-based curriculum and high expectations, and performance-based assessments.
