A great site if you need a random number or 10,000. The site also offers an introduction to random number generation. The site also offers a random coin toss program—in multiple currencies!

Description A teacher utility that helps select pupils randomly from a list. The random selector ‘remembers’ previously chosen pupils and doesn’t select them again until reset.
Useful for keeping track of who you have asked to answer a question or do something etc.
Because it’s random there’s no bias towards any particular pupils.
Objective Fun, random way of selecting pupils.
Hints Unzip both files to same folder. To edit the pupil list (classroom.xml) open it up in say Notepad and replace dummy names (between the pupil tags) with your pupil names. (don’t delete or change other information or the filename) and save, overwriting the original. You can add more lines (use the same format as those above) or delete lines you don’t need.

This is not a name generator, but may be the easiest to use if each student is supplied a number.
