DLC Tutors
The DLC has appointed DLC Tutors to provide academic mentoring to your online students. The Tutors are hired and selected according to the following criteria: subject area/content expertise; mentoring and tutoring experience; demonstrated ability to work and communicate online; and demographic factors including gender, age, geography, career interest, technology, and racial diversity.
Tutors offer subject-area assistance based on the online courses in which your students are enrolled, help students match DLC resources to their academic needs, and offer post-high school planning mentorship. The DLC's Tutor Coordinator is available to answer any questions you may have and is the direct supervisor for the DLC Tutors.
Tutors and their online course mentees communicate online via students' DLC-provided email accounts. The DLC guarantees your students' safety and privacy by offering the email and chat services provided by Gaggle.net.
