AP ClassTools, English ClassTools, Math ClassTools, Science ClassTools, Social Studies ClassTools, and World Languages ClassTools can be used to supplement a curriculum or as the primary source of content in your classroom. Each subject is developed by experienced instructional designers and subject matter experts to align to state and national standards.

The following descriptions clarify the intended audience of each track of courses offered by Apex Learning:

Foundations ClassTools

  • Content is focused on the remedial student.
  • This content is written for the middle and high school audience.
  • Approximately 70-90 hours of content also covers skill sets for grades 3-8.

Core ClassTools

  • Content is focused on the credit recovery student.
  • Content is geared to learners at the lower end of their designated grade level.
  • Approximately 70-90 hours of content contains more scaffolding to build skills.

Comprehensive/Honors ClassTools

  • Content is focused on the student who is working at the standard level of achievement.
  • Full, robust content fulfills most schools' definition of Honors-level curriculum.
  • Approximately 90-120 hours of content is focused on honors material.

AP ClassTools

  • Content is written to the College Board Advanced Placement standards.

ClassTools subjects

Apex Learning courses featuring "Core" in their titles are geared towards students enrolling on a credit recovery basis.
