What are some proven and promising practices for technology integration?
Welcome to Powerful Teaching!
Introduction
Teachers carefully plan their curriculum to help students meet academic standards, but often struggle with the creation of authentic, engaging tasks that can make powerful and appropriate use of technology. As a T2T leader, you must be prepared to answer the question, "How can I best integrate technology into a standards-based curriculum?" In this lesson you will prepare to answer that question by reviewing current research and looking at classroom examples of promising practices.

Technology as a Facilitator of Quality Education
InTime provides an online library of over 500 exemplary video vignettes and supplementary materials showing PreK-12 teachers from various grades and subjects infuse technology into lessons, teaching challenging content. We will use the pre/post-viewing probing questions to demonstrate good teaching and technology integration.
Working independently, answer the following pre-viewing questions.*
- How can technology use in a classroom facilitate student learning?
- How might a teacher's use and/or misuse of technological tools affect his or her students' attitudes toward technology and abilities to use technology?
- How can teachers use technology to develop information-processing skills among their students?
