The Digital Learning Commons (DLC) T2T: A Collaboration Project is a five-day training that is designed for teachers who show strong leadership at their school and have evidenced meaningful use of the DLC resources. The five-day training begins with a three-day retreat where teachers develop coaching skills and deepen their understanding of DLC resources and tools to infuse them into improved lesson activities. Two follow-up sessions will be held during the school year.
Using the concepts of peer coaching, T2T provides teachers with the skills and support needed to share their knowledge of the DLC with other teachers.
The goals of Teacher2Teacher are to train school-based teacher leaders to help other teachers:
- Goal 1: Plan and implement instructional activities that integrate DLC resources into their curriculum.
- Goal 2: Collaborate with colleagues to integrate DLC resources into their lesson activities.
- Goal 3: Use coaching and collaboration skills to promote discussion about instruction.
Curriculum
The Teacher2Teacher curriculum is in a rich, flexible format to reach the diverse needs of participants with varying levels of technology integration skills and knowledge. - Coaching and collaboration skills
- Engaged learning principles
- Curriculum planning skills
